Membership Qualifications

✓   If you live or once lived in North Carolina

✓   If you were employed for at least five (5) years in a public school, college, or university, as a teacher, support personnel, administrator  

✓   If you are at least 45 years old

✓   If you are no longer working for a public school or have returned to work as a qualifying retired employee or retired as part of an early retirement agreement

✓   If you are eligible to receive a pension from an educational employment retirement system OR from Social Security
