❖The total Community Service Hours served across the state of North Carolina in education were 39,359 hours; these plus other activities totaled 165,371 hours with a value of $5,538,287.85 for the year 2024.

❖NCRSP hours given for education and other community activities 166,222, shows an increase of 29,948.73 hours from our previous year. ❖ At a Monetary value of $31.80 per hour, NCRSP gave state $5,285,859.60, showing an increase of $1,204,475.17 from our previous year.

Purpose:
Purpose:
To energize the local units by encouraging all members to volunteer in their schools and communities to address current needs and to cooperate with other organizations in the community on issues of common concern, especially responding to the specific needs of NCRSP members.
Responsibilities:

• Encourage local units to identify critical needs in the schools.
• Encourage local units to develop coalitions with other organizations in their communities.
• Gather ideas for projects done by Locals thus creating a list to share across the state.
• Encourage Locals, Regions and individuals to undertake service projects.
• Collect the Local Forms, collate the total hours for the Region, indicate the one member in the Region with the most hours and submit to the State Chair.
• Organize and staff the annual fundraising event at the State Convention to raise money for the North Carolina Foundation for Public School Children.
• Recognize at Local Meetings, Regional Meetings and State Convention the successes of Community Participation.
