To energize the local units by encouraging all members to volunteer in their schools and communities to address current needs and to cooperate with other organizations in the community on issues of common concern, especially responding to the specific needs of NCRSP members.
• Encourage local units to identify critical needs in the schools.
• Encourage local units to develop coalitions with other organizations in their communities.
• Gather ideas for projects done by Locals thus creating a list to share across the state.
• Encourage Locals, Regions and individuals to undertake service projects.
• Collect the Local Forms, collate the total hours for the Region, indicate the one member in the Region with the most hours and submit to the State Chair.
• Organize and staff the annual fundraising event at the State Convention to raise money for the North Carolina Foundation for Public School Children.
• Recognize at Local Meetings, Regional Meetings and State Convention the successes of Community Participation.
